Premium Beef Products

How it works.

It takes about 18-24 months for grass-fed cattle to reach an optimal harvest weight. A deposit reserves your beef share from our herd.

Each year we inventory the cattle we will have available for harvest and our customers place deposits to reserve a portion of our expected harvest. Throughout the year we maintain the pastures and cattle and keep you in the loop with updates.

Once your reserved share is aging at the processing facility we invoice you for the balance of your order.

After you pay the invoice we’ll ship your frozen meat (see if you’re in our FREE SHIPPING area) right to your door, or arrange for you to come get it at one of our pick-up locations.

Generally, it will be 3-8 months from when you make your deposit until your beef arrives (depending on availability).

This gives you plenty of time to clean out your freezer (or get a freezer) so you’re ready when your order comes.

Place a deposit to reserve your beef share(s).

Visit our store to place a deposit on a bulk beef order. The deposit guarantees that we’ll have a beef share for you when it’s ready for processing. You can purchase 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 of a beef (or one of our other packages). If you want more, you can order multiple options or increase the quantity.

Wait for us to grow your beef.

We’ll grow the beef on the grass of our pastures or source grass-fed beef from producers we know and trust. When your beef is ready, we’ll take it to the processor.

Pay the invoice and have the beef shipped to your door.

When your beef is aging we’ll invoice you (based on the weight of the meat you’ll receive) for the balance of your order. Once the invoice is paid, your beef is shipped directly to your door or you can choose to come get it at one of our pick-up locations (we’ll contact you to explain shipping and delivery options).

Our cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. In the summer months, our cattle feed on pasture grasses. In the winter they either eat natural vegetation on winter range or are fed high-quality grass or alfalfa hay. Our cattle are never fed grain.

  • 1/8 beef (~50 lbs): about 2 cubic feet of freezer. This can fit in the freezer that is attached to your fridge, but won’t leave much room for other items.
  • 1/4 beef share (~100 lbs): about 4 cubic feet of freezer space. You’ll need to have a small freezer.
  • 1/2 beef (~200 lbs): about 8 cubic feet of freezer space. You’ll need a medium-sized freezer.
  • Whole beef (~400 lbs): You’ll need a large/full-sized chest or upright freezer.

Your meat will be packed in insulated containers that are inside cardboard boxes. We include plenty of dry ice so your meat will stay frozen for a few hours if you are not home.

We will let you know your order is being sent before it is shipped so that it doesn’t arrive on a day that you are not close to home.

We have a 100% shipping guarantee and insure all of our orders. Your order will be fully replaced or reimbursed if it does not arrive safely.

Our beef is 100% natural. You’re getting pure beef with nothing added.

We raise our beef using ethical and sustainable practices. We do not have (or even try to get) specific certifications because they do not equate to sustainable food products and management practices. Maintaining certifications also creates additional costs that are passed onto our customers.
